Once registered, select CREATE A JOURNEY from the homepage.

Choose a NAME for your Journey (preferably the person’s name who it is for). This is what people will be searching for. If it is a common name, consider adding a descriptor to the title such as the City or State.

Next, write a DESCRIPTION of what your Journey will be about. Include as much detail as you want. Please know that depending on what privacy settings you choose, this may be visible to everyone using WishingWell.

Personalize

You can personalize your Journey page by adding a photo if you choose. This may make it easier for friends and family to find your Journey.

Account options

WishingWell offers links to PayPal, Venmo and Signup.com and offers the opportunity to receive e-gift cards.

For your convenience, you may link your personal accounts in this section to allow your friends and family a convenient way to offer their support. (This is just a link to your PayPal/Venmo account, we do not ask for passwords or any personal information).

If your family has any needs that could be placed on a Care Calendar, the signup.com feature is a great way to communicate those. Do you need a ride to an appointment, someone to pick up prescriptions or groceries, a babysitter for an afternoon or just a good homecooked meal brought to your family… Whatever your needs may be, log in to signup.com and create your personal care calendar. From the signup.com website, you can share your specific URL or link, by copying and pasting it here on WishingWell. There is a free version to use, it is easy and doesn’t take long to start. Everyone wants to help! If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be following your journey. So please let them give a helping hand.

If you are willing to accept e-gift cards, this is another convenient way for friends and family to help! WishingWell has partnered with RaiseRight, an online gift card company. By opting in to receive e-gift cards, your friends and family have the opportunity to purchase them and have sent electronically to your email. You do not have to have a RaiseRight account to receive gift cards. All you have to do is just OPT IN! (Please note that your email will be visible to those that follow your Journey).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ADD ONS ARE LINKED DIRECTLY TO THE REGISTERED USER. THEY ARE NOT UNIQUE TO EACH JOURNEY AT THIS TIME. These can be added / modified under profile settings.

It is best that individuals register themselves so their personal links to Paypal, Venmo, gift cards and Signup calendar are linked to their own specific Journey Page. They can allow someone else to be a moderator for their Journey by going to the settings tab after setting it up.
